Inspired by Two Real Best Friends
Every great story has a beginning.
Ours started during a family trip to Arizona.
My wife and I were visiting our daughter when we stopped at a pet store inside a shopping mall. We weren't looking for a puppy—we were simply looking around.
Then we met a tiny red-and-white Boston Terrier named Rooger.
The employee asked if we'd like to hold him, so we spent a few minutes getting to know this little puppy before handing him back and continuing our day.
We made it only two stores down the mall.
My wife and I stopped, looked at each other, and said the exact same thing.
"We can't leave that dog."
We turned around, walked back to the pet store, and brought Rooger home.
It truly was love at first sight.
About a month later, we realized Rooger needed a best friend.
That's when Loki joined our family.
From that day forward, our home has been filled with flying tennis balls, backyard adventures, evening zoomies, endless laughter, and memories we'll treasure forever.
Before Rooger, we had never owned a Boston Terrier.
Today, I can honestly say they're the most loyal, loving, and entertaining dogs we've ever known.
Meet Rooger
Rooger is the confident leader of the team.
He's athletic, playful, incredibly smart, and always ready for a game of fetch.
He loves learning new tricks, listens extremely well, and somehow always finds a way to convince everyone that he's in charge.
Rooger knows how to sit, roll over, play fetch, bark on command, and perform several other tricks, but his greatest talent might be getting exactly what he wants with one look.
He loves his toys.
He loves his family.
And while he can be a little bossy, he's also fiercely loyal and always looking out for Loki.
If there's an adventure waiting...

Meet Loki
Loki is the lovable goofball.
Built like a real-life teddy bear, Loki is a little stockier than Rooger and has a personality that's larger than life.
He loves giving kisses.
He loves making everyone laugh.
And almost every evening, he celebrates with his famous zoomies—running around the house like the happiest dog in the world.
Loki is wonderfully mischievous.
He's a little clumsy.
A little goofy.
And completely unforgettable.
If someone starts vacuuming...
Everyone knows Loki will have plenty to say about it!

Loki reminds everyone that life is meant to be enjoyed.

That's exactly what makes them such great friends.

One of our favorite family memories happened while they were chasing sticks at the river.
Neither dog realized how deep the water had become.
They both jumped into the river after a stick...
...and learned to swim that very day.
Sometimes the best adventures are the ones you never plan.

In Rooger & Loki Learn Manners, two kind-hearted twins named Quinn and Finn meet two friendly stray Boston Terriers at the park. Through patience, kindness, and love, they teach Rooger and Loki good manners, simple tricks, and the importance of listening.
By the end of the adventure, Quinn and Finn's family adopts the dogs, reminding readers that family, kindness, and unconditional love can change lives.
In Rooger & Loki: A Treasure Hunt with Curly Crow, the dogs meet a curious crow searching for shiny treasures. Together they discover a missing key, colorful marbles, sparkling jewelry, and, most importantly, the value of teamwork.
Curly Crow teaches Rooger and Loki that working together makes every challenge easier, while Rooger and Loki remind Curly Crow that friendship is one of life's greatest treasures.
The Rooger & Loki Activity Book lets young readers continue the fun with coloring pages, mazes, word searches, matching games, puzzles, and creative activities inspired by their favorite adventures.
